The 1838 Skidsteer from CaseIH comes equipped with a universal skid steer quick hitch. This will allow you to connect a wide variety of skid steer attachments to this loader. Buckets, Grapple Buckets, harley rakes, 4 in 1 buckets, trenchers, hydraulic augers, pallet forks, sweepers, brush cutter, stump grinders and dozer blades are all commonly used on Case 1838 Skid Steer Loaders.

Above you will find our recommended attachments that we offer for sale on our website for this skidsteer. If you have a Case IH 1838 loader with the optional high flow, you will extend your skidsteer loader to use even more powerful attachments as well.

Case 1835 Skid Steer Parts

This should be just what I need to make my life a little easier 3. Posted by on 6/22/2012 8:25:32 PM I have a case 1838 with mclaren protracs. I purchased the machine with them, but they did not come with the tool to put them on. I have done it a few times with my ATV winch and a snatch block to pull them in to place, but it doesnt get them as tight as I would like. My question is, does anybody have pictures, or even an explanation of how they work, or maybe even one for sale? Where to buy one? I have the capabilities to build a proper tool, but I cant find how they hook up, or what they.

Posted by on 5:21:52 PM thanks for the quick reply frogfarmer. That is what I have been doing, I just wasnt checking it for water after draining.I will have to try that. Posted by on 4:59:41 PM I have an 1838, and also a dumb question. On the fuel filter it has a valve to release the water from the fuel. First of all, where does the water come from?

And second, do I leave the valve open until nothing comes out? I dont want to have to bleed my fuel system again (that wasnt any fun), or do I just let it run until I know it is straight diesel coming out? I looked in my service book, but apparently you are just supposed to know what to do with it. Thanks-chris 6. Posted by on 8:20:19 PM I have been searching for a block heater for my case 1838, with no luck.

It has a kubota v2203 diesel in it. Anybody know where to find one?

Case 1838 skid steer manual

Posted by on 9:16:49 PM IT is more apparent when it leaks up, just because of the forces involved, but it will bleed out slowly going down. Also if I slightly move my loader arm control wither way, it will want to move opposite, but just for a second. Would that be ram, or spool valve? I dont believe i have a float on my machine.

Case 1835 skid steer parts

Posted by on 4:52:17 PM I have a case 1838 skidsteer, the problem I am having is when I am backblading with my loader arms down, the loader rams will not hold and start to pull out. The hydraulics are strong otherwise. If I take the weight off of the bucket, the rams will return to the fully down position. Any help would be much appreciated. Posted by on 3/9/2009 1:13:53 PM I have a 98 1838 and on the hydraulic tank there is a sight glass, how far up the sight glass should It be reading? Mine shows a little over half on the sight glass. Also I have found a service manual for a good price, but it was published in 94, and doesnt give a specific model year, Will it work for my machine?

Most of the manuals I have found look to be published in 94, but I dont want to waste my money on a manual that wont work for me. Any input would be appreciated.

Posted by on 3/9/2009 1:07:54 PM I dont know if this will help, but I found one on ebay. This is a steal for a factory service manual. I called my local case dealer looking for one for my 1838, and they wanted $287. Here is the link: Hope this helps!! Posted by on 2/22/2009 5:45:20 PM Thanks for the response!

That is makes me feel better knowing it IS just an adjustment. Has anyone out there made this adjustment? Do i have to flip up the cab to get to the linkage? Also, how DO you flip the cab up? Also has anybody built a root grapple for a skid steer? I am a skilled welder/fabricator with a shop full of goodies and thought it would be a wise investment. Anybody have any thoughts on it?

Posted by on 2/21/2009 11:34:16 AM I am new to skid steers, actually I just purchased my first one yesterday! I bought a 1998 case 1838 on my local craigslist for $6000. It is in very good shape. The only problem is that when you stop the machine it wants to creep left, but if you bump the controls slightly it will hold still, I was just wondering if this could just be an adjustment issue?

There doesnt appear that there is any hydraulic issues with the steering or anything else so im hoping this will be an easy fix. Prev Next (Copyright 2002-2019) Owens Consulting.
