I recently purchased the Feiyu-Tech DOS Inertial Stabilizer System with the GPS module. I mainly did this to have a safeguard in case I lose connection so that the plane automatically returns to me. The stabilizing function itself does work just fine. However, the DOS does not seem to get a proper GPS fix. Every time I turn it on I get a single green light once. I have tested the RTH function. What it does is just turn randomly and it loses altitude rather quickly.

How do I know if I have a GPS fix? As for the settings, does the circle diameter have to be 80 meters at least for it to work? I have set this to be 60 meters instead. Could this be the problem? Also as for the cruising speed, is the plane going into a dive because it wants to maintain a certain speed which is below the throttle power I left it with?

Best regards put your DOS in stabilized mode. With the gps working correctly, you should get repeating cycles of 2 red (or 2 purple) and one green LED.

If the green LED does not repeat, then you have no gps or not enough satellites (5 minimum) check your gps location setup as per instructions; a. Install the GPS Module with the antenna face up (see following picture). DO NOT install next to metal or carbon fiber and other shielding material, which may block satellite signal.

Install the GPS Module away from electromagnetic sources such as ESC‘s, power wires, servo wires and video transmitters. First fix at a new location can take quite a few minutes, the little LED on the gps unit should blink when it acquires satellites. When it has 5 or more satellites the green LED will show as part of the status.

The return home will NOT work unless the gps works! The circle will work without gps, but the model will drift. The DOS has some control over the throttle (I do not use it). The DOS will try to maintain altitude with the elevator.

The throttle tries to maintain the GROUND speed (not airspeed) As for airspeed control you need the FY-41AP or PANDA, both with pitot tube. Altitude is maintained with altimeter and gps working in conjunction, without the gps the altitude hold is less precise. Some of your questions seem to indicate that you have not read and fully understood the manual. Unlike a new toaster or TV where people tend to read the manual when all else fails, in this instance it pays to do the opposite. Put your DOS in stabilized mode. I don't do a tour to be taken to a karaoke bar to mix with other tour groups etc. Italy 2018 world cup jersey. It was a shame that there was not much choice on the dinner and it was average. I want to mix with local people. I would like to eat a variety of food aside from pasta. However, I would still recommend this tour as it showcased many places in Italy.

I have read the manual quite precisely, I was just making sure that I didnt miss anything. As for the model I use a Bixler 2 and the GPS is mounted about one inch behind the canopy right on top. There was nothing which could have caused any kind of interference.

I havent even had a video transmitter on the plane. What is the longest that you had to wait for a proper GPS fix? The small little red LED on the GPS blinks fast, but I have not gotten a green LED on the DOS unit as part of the indicator sequence. What is the longest that you had to wait for a proper GPS fix? Make sure you are in the open (not inside, does not work too well, specially with a tin roof overhead) if the LED on the gps is blinking, then it has power. Make sure you are plugged-in to the gps socket (top) and not the uart (bottom) check tx/rx wires for a break. If you have a mobile phone with gps, see how many satellites you can pull in, you need minimum of 5. Apart for all that, you may need to contact FYETECH.

Obviously, it requires some patience. What I did was placing it in my backyard for a while, went back inside and returned after 5 minutes. Got a green light in the sequence. I also own a Naza V1 and a Wookong with GPS, they both usually get a GPS fix within about 10-15 seconds tops. Greetings from Germany.

Hi, I just bought my FY-DoS few days ago and I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware. I have followed exactly the instructions to do the installation and everything. However it ended up unsuccessful. Even if I don't do the upgrade and straight to the copter settings v1.2 the status shows 'Connect fail!'

Red LED keeps blinking. I have checked my COM Port and I keyed in the same port number as shown. Can anyone here please tell me what is wrong and what to do? Have you started the software, selected COM and opened it and THEN connected the cable to the DOS, otherwise it wont go into fw upgrade mode.
