RETROFIT PACKAGE FOR TOSHIBA BTD BORING MILLS BTD 11.R16/BTD 11.E R16/BTD 13 R22 Toshiba has been producing quality table type boring mills for many decades. Endusers, have enjoyed the quality and ease of use of Toshiba BTD style boring mills originally equipped with TOSNUC 777 CNC controls, better know as Triple 7 and Triple 7.2. The time has come when these CNC controls are no longer supported, thus locating replacement parts is almost impossible. Even the OEM has no stock, and the only alternative is to send the suspect part back to the factory to try and repair. This process is expensive and time consuming. TEAM MACHINE TOOLS HAS A SOLUTION Team Machine Tools, through direct feedback from BTD endusers and our vast knowledge of BTD machines, recognized the need for an engineered retrofit package to replace the aging systems on these machines. Not only are the Tosnuc controls obsolete, the Sony Magnascales used by Toshiba have been unsupported for years.
Damaged scales were often turned off, as replacements or repair were impossible to find. Team Machine Tools designed a direct replacement package with three main objectives observed: QUALITY-PRICE-TIME.
QUALITY Our primary CNC supplier is FANUC. We selected Fanuc for its world recognition, quality and global support network. We also selected FAGOR distance coded scales for the XYZ axes.
PRICE Toshiba BTD boring mills were all manufactured the same. Our CNC packages are engineered for a precise integration that can control the overall price. TIME Our engineered CNC packages are designed so the “chip to chip” time can be as little as 2 weeks. BASIC PACKAGE PRICE from $149,999.00 USD. FANUC OiMD CNC system including XYZWB servo motors with absolute encoders, MPG unit with RAPID/FEED capability. Pre-loaded with system parameters and PLC program.
Operation display panel to replace the existing unit. FAGOR distance coded linear scales for XYZ axes.
Pre-assembled wiring harnesses within the electrical panel. All components required to install the scales. Assembly directions. The existing spindle motor and drive are reused. The manufacturer of the spindle drives still supports their products. OPTIONS Our basic package has been engineered to replace all of the critical components on your boring mill.
BTD machines were offered with many options which we can accommodate if it is needed. They may include RIGID TAPPING, SPINDLE PROBE. We recognize that many endusers are capable of installing and commissioning the machine themselves. We engineered the package so it can be installed this way. We also offer complete installation and commissioning or just commissioning. As Bob got into. They're 'close'. But they're not close. Navigation is quite a bit different and will take some getting used to. Programming is a bit different in respects to offsetting as he mentioned. Macro calling is the 'same' for simple stuff but there are big differences beyond that. Make sure you have the programming book with those machines.
Well, all the books for that matter. There are totally different methods for variable setting and booleans. System variables and some other machine variables have many different passwords to get. So, the manuals will be needed. Toshiba also sticks the battery for the Z axis on the end of the encoder which is a real pain in the a$$ on some of the HBMs and HMCs. All in all though, Toshiba is a very nice and tough machine. If you've got some 'heavy' work.
Definately worth the consideration. Of course, not sure what size/model machine you're looking at here. But a control is a control. As Bob mentioned, it is user friendly and has user defined 'hot keys' on the control for quick navigation. IMO though, it is quite different from FANUC. But don't let that stop you. The pendants are real easy to use and can easily get you out of any jams for things like the tool changer/magazine getting stuck or the pallet changer (if you have one).
Also, most Toshibas have the zeros set a bit different than many of the other makes. X0 and centerline of pallet, Y0 at the top of the pallet face, Z0 at the center of rotation (or the front/back edge of table for HBMs). You can change these to something you're more accustomed to for horizontal styled machines.
But you'll want somebody who's worked on these to be around if you do. There's quite a few settings and parameters to change around to change the grid of the machine. Hi every body. I have Toshiba milling machine with tosnuc 777.2 control. The model of machine is VMC-55E with 3 axis. We confront with this alarm.
I have changed batteries in encoder for two axes (Y, Z), And a battery connected to the main board (down battery). However the alarm don’t remove. What can i do? And other problem, I don’t have any information about the parameters of the machine. I can see a limited number of Parameter of machine.
If this Operation Manual is lost or damaged, order a new one from your dealer or distributor. Make sure this manual is transfered to subsequent owners. I noticed several months back that someone had a copy of the workshop manual for pulling apart a normally aspirated Yanmar 4JH3E diesel engine. I have a parts manual for the same. I have the 3E but I imagine that the Service manual is much the same? 4jh3e manual. We have 1 Yanmar 4JH3E manual available for free PDF download: Operation Manual. Yanmar 4JH3E Operation Manual (48 pages) Marine Diesel Engine.
How can I access the rest of the parameters?( And explanations of them.) how can i see program num 90000000 for ATC cycle? How can i active (or see) all parameret of matchine? Please guide me. Best regards.
