1. Stihl Fs 110 Troubleshooting

I just had my father pickup my trimmer at the local JD dealership. I called in and told them that I wanted a Brush cutter setup along with the trimmer. What I got was just a Husqy blade.that's all. I also didn't get any paperwork with the trimmer.no manual, warranty papers.nothing.

So, what I have is the trimmer, shoulder harness, and a blade. Shouldn't I have gotten a larger deflector, owner's manual, warranty papers at the minimum? Should I also have tools for the blade changeover and or gear attachments? What else do I need aside from the blade and deflector?

I'm sure if I had a manual I would know the answer. I'm feeling as though this dealership is very incompetent and I'm not sure I want to even do business there. They didn't stock the trimmer, and obviously don't stock the cutter parts. Am I going to be waiting on parts every time it goes in for service as well? Thanks for any help, Chad.

Click to expand.+1 to that; Stihl makes, to me, an EXCEPTIONAL product. I have been running them for 9 of the 10 years I have been in business. Sounds like a crappy dealer, though; Yeah-you should get an owner's manual, hand tools (wrench with the hex end) and you should get a kit of some kind to convert your trimmer into a brush cutter. It's like a little metal cup-like thing and also a nut (that you use your sapposedly included wrench to tighten up). Also remember, when loosening your head-its threads are reverse so if you're cranking and cranking on it and it's not loosening, then you're going to wrong way!
