Hi all Persona users,I just barely changed my front brakes in time today after 28000km I had to scheme the the discs as it they were slighted scratched,metal to metal.But it also depends on how heavy footed u r. I would believe i was easy on brakings.Warning though as soon as u hear some humming sound coming from the front wheels do check ur brake pads immediately.My rear brakes are only half way there so the front ones wears out twice as fast as the rear ones.I did them outside n they charged me rm120 for the pads n Rm45 each for the discs skimming whatever u call it. Happy motoring! I had the front discs replaced (under warranty) when they were making vibrations under braking. No need to go outside workshop first they asked to skim but i went to another SC and changed them instead.

But later i changed the pads to other brand though. Coz the original pads are making awful lots of dust and poor braking performance. Yes,why did they ask to skim?I think sometime we hv to personally check the discs ourselves just to make absolutely sure becos we can end up paying more later than to save a few ringgits now.If the discs are damaged, usually deep scatch marks around the them then u hv to skim as a scratched disc will wear out the pads extremely fast.Just ask him to dismantle them so u can see clearly.

Anyway,judging from my experience we should check our brakes(front)at every 20000km,then no headache n no worries. Hallo everyone. Need ur upinion here. What brake pad had u guys use for ur lovely persona. Im using H line. I ask the sc they quote me RM 349 for BOSH brake pad, I ask my friend working at proton they have Lucas at the same price RM 349. And mintye for RM69.

He said that one is no good one. I search around many people use bendix metal king, titanium and so on the price is much more cheaper aorund Rm 100-150. Appreciate ur kind advise. I changed mine to AFI Break Pad due to too much break dust and poor breaking.

RM150.00 for front pair. Mine M-line, the rear drum break shoe also change from Ori to 'TBK' Now, happy breaking. Tks for your opnion. My fren proton told me he can get 30% disc from the normal price RM349 for Lucas. Price after discount is around 244. Still expensive if compare to bendix metal king. Think i will go for bendix.

Front cost 100 - 120 and rear is slightly cheaper depends on spare part shops. This pad gives good initial bite and fair progressive feel too.

Dun go for high temp. Ones coz not only costly, the performance sucks during cold temp.u wont regret but beware of imitations tho.
